Holy Week is such a special time of reflection. As the 40-day journey of Lent swells to a crescendo of victory on Sunday, there are moments of silent contemplation, and at times, tears. When I reflect upon the sacrifice of my Lord Jesus and the events of that week long ago, I’m undone. Music helps me to commune with God throughout the year, but it especially does this week. I offer here some of my favorite songs that point to the Lamb of God, who died for the sins of the world. I pray they help you to draw closer to Him in worship this week as you celebrate Easter.

MAN OF SORROWS – Hillsong
He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
THE WONDERFUL CROSS – Chris Tomlin
Having cancelled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.
RESURRECTING – Elevation Worship

WORTHY IS THE LAMB – Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!
ALL HAIL KING JESUS – Jeremy Riddle

ALIVE – Natalie Grant
He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.
